G.P.T Versus MLM The Clash Of The Titans Rages On

by Diane Cossie on January 25, 2010

The GPT versus MLM debate will continue for as long people struggle to keep their downline from leaving faster than they can prospect new people into their businesses.

The residual income of multi-level marketing is still the most appealing factor of the business model itself and watching your residual income dwindle away to nothing every month is not what you had in mind when you joined.

GPT stands for “Get Paid Today” and is frequently used to describe Top Tier Direct Sales companies like CarbonCopyPro, The Reverse Funnel System and Global Resorts Network to name a few.

Contrary to popular belief it is not a “Get Rich Quick” any more than MLM is a “Get Rich Slow & Stay That Way Forever Doing Nothing “ both business require mastering marketing and mindset skills to succeed.

The GPT concept challenges the age old concept of working 3-5 years in multi-level marketing and retiring on the fruits of your labour, task accomplished.

The greatest appeal of the GPT business model is its ability to produce far greater rewardsfor the same amount of work you would be undertaking to build a traditional MLM business. Without exception the offer of a substantially increased cashflow into your business is not something that many would turn down.

However in most articles and blog posts debating the topic you will read something along the lines of “I saved myself “XYZ” dollars and joined “ABC Company” instead. This approach reveals more about mindset than knowledge about the concept, but thankfully there is room for everyone.

The controversial Coffee House Letter first sparked the debate of whether or not the internet is responsible for the growing problem of attrition in MLM and even if it is not entirely to blame, it has certainly played its part. If you haven’t read the report yourself, you can find a copy by clicking here.

Top Tier Direct Sales has existed offline for years and years, I remember going to an industry giant’s meeting years ago and questioning why anybody would try and sell 500 x $5.00 items and make $1.00 profit on each sale when my business at the time sold $10,000 products with $2500 profits.

It is just a different perspective of business but what blew me away with the online information business were the gross profit margins and this is where the real power lies within the Top Tier Direct Sales industry that leaves MLM floundering to match, stuck on pole position when the GPT business model starts to gain momentum.

Because of the combination of upfront commissions, plus a residual income with the new G.P.T. Business model traditional MLM is being challenged on speed and profitability within months instead of years available to those who see and resonate with the opportunity to create profits, earn a residual income and have money to invest for the long term stability.

For a brief demo on GROSS PROFIT MARGINS & why they are so important, check out this video I put together & I will stand back for the debate to rage on .
