Don’t Wait For Everything To Perfect Before You Take Action

It is often a common mistake to wait until everything is perfect BEFORE you take action and create changes in your life. It may be that you are guilty of waiting until you win the lottery before you live life to the full, perhaps you are putting off eating a healthier diet because you think you can’t afford to buy more fresh fruit and vegetables right now or maybe you are waiting until you can afford to join a gym to start getting fit.

All too often these thoughts dominate so much that years and years of time can slip by while you sit and wait for the right moment to start. In recent months Robert Kiyosaki’s 10 year old “predictions” about the economy have suddenly been read by millions of people for the first time. He did not need superhuman powers to be able to forecast the end result of millions of people over borrowing for a decade would result in the current economic disaster, the writing was on the wall.

There is a great book by Spencer Johnson M.D. called “Who Moved My Cheese?” and it is all about learning to read the writing on the wall and actively seeking “new cheese” before your current “cheese” runs out. (“cheese” is used to represent circumstance such as a job, relationship, health, business etc). Change is inevitable as nothing stays the same, just think how far technology has advanced in the last ten years and how far it will change things again in the next ten. If you have what many describe as “vision“ you quickly begin to realise that unless you actively pursue change in a positive way you can easily find yourself being hopelessly left behind with shattered dreams.

For many people today job insecurity is the dominating fear, without the “security” of their income at the end of every month they simply cannot see how they will hang on to the lifestyle they currently enjoy. The big question is how many people realise that there are thousands and thousands of people already learning new skills, building their businesses on a shoe string budget that will create a new independent future for themselves and their loved ones. They are taking risks, battling against the odds, testing unexplored waters and even if they are not yet at their final destination they are well on their way.

The secret to changing your future is to stop waiting to find the perfect business opportunity or waiting for a windfall to even begin, entrepreneurs tend to be very resourceful and in most cases, if not all cases none of them start out with anything other than a whole lot of determination and a willingness to succeed at all costs. Do not wait for circumstances to change to change what you can become.

When you next spend a sleepness night worrying about job losses and lay offs, wondering if you will be one of them just remember that there is a small army of people who have not waited to hear whether or not their destiny is in the hands of an employer, they are busy carving out their own independent future while most people will simply wait for change to happen to them, it’s not a question of “if” it’s a question of “when”.
