The holidays are amongst us once again and as December gets underway, the shops get busier with Christmas Shoppers looking for the 50% – 70% off bargains to keep their Christmas budget as low as possible as the recession bites even harder. The season of goodwill turns quite rapidly into the season of less affordable goodwill than previous years and all of sudden the feel good factor is all but gone before we even start. Christmas Day for a lot of people is the one day of the year they can throw caution to the wind, dine like a king for a day and lavish their loved ones with gifts.
So as the end of 2008 approaches and the start of 2009 creeps closer there will be a lot of anxious people suffering from post Christmas shock as they suddenly re-focus on the falling house prices, lack of real job security, rising prices of utilities and food and asking themselves how much worse things can possibly get before it gets better.
The last housing crisis lasted around four and a half years before the first signs of recovery showed through in 1994. Add to that the global factors that the politicians say are unprecedented and you have a cycle of unsurpassed uncertainty affecting people who have never faced these sorts of pressures before, mainly the “middle classes.”

2. Make a vision board for EACH area of your life using pictures of your future health, wealth, wisdom and relationships. You really can design the life you want to lead.
3. Read your goals at least TWICE PER DAY until they become part of you and visualise what they FEEL like.
4. Commit to MAKING them happen with a well designed strategy to attain them by set dates, anything else is a wish.
By doing this exercise NOW, you will not get confused with New Years Resolutions which inevitably fail as they have very little to do with Goal Setting.
